Ecomak commissioned a state of the art high temperature air filtration system for one of India’s largest foundry.

Ecomak’s scope included basic engineering, detail engineering and supply of Offline Pulse Jet Bag House system with suction hood, thermal cooling system, tubular heat exchanger, dampers, ID fan and a self-supported stack with safe ladders.
Ecomak has the capability of precisely designing and manufacturing the Water Cooling System (Seen in image below) for the flue gas emissions of the steel foundry. The entire system is designed and manufactured in-house. The project was commissioned in record time by Ecomak considering the importance of production opportunity of the plant!

About the application: AOD (argon-oxygen decarburization)
This is an advanced technology for the refinement of iron, nickel, and cobalt based alloys. By melting a charge in a furnace, and then placing it into the AOD vessel, the metal producer is able to utilize lower cost charge materials, improve mechanical properties, recover nearly 100% of metallic charge elements, and remove dissolved gases, as well as most of the carbon and sulphur. Seldom other process offers similar capabilities in the foundry.
